Sorry, this is again unrelated, but I just had to upload the quote of the day. Today I was at O-J's filming the hopefully temporarily-named "Twisted Solution" (the 2nd of the films), with Hal as co-director, and Rebecca as the handy dead body. Several of the shots needed to be filmed in the bathroom...

Hal: "Will you come in the bath with me, O-J?"

Anyway, enough of that. Soph, it's still your turn to write, damn it!! Or Tom or Liv, in fact.

New StrongBad! I want one of those propellor caps! Maybe not the dude wearing it though...

Not strictly related to the Jungle Crew I know, but it does concern our creator, so I'll let it pass this time. I thought I'd just draw attention to O-J's latest post (PolarEscape), for anyone who hasn't seen it. I think congratulations are in order! I might even go so far as to say 'well done that man', but I don't think that's quite necessary at this stage. Sorry James. Anyway, nice going Odge!

While the crew was thinking about the mystery and possible interconnectedness of the chip shop, the powder, James's iPod and broom, and cross-dressing, there came another scream, this time from above. The gang looked at each other, wide-eyed.
"PJ!" gasped Liv. "She's in trouble. Come on!"

She led the way, running back into the green room, and flew up the stairs and through the trapdoor, back onto the stage. The crew looked all around, but there was no sign of PJ - or indeed of anyone at all. "Where did they go? Where did James go?" wondered Marco aloud, echoing everyone's thoughts. Eagle-eyed Soph, however, caught sight of one single, very long brown hair, attached at one end to the ladder leading to the roof. It could only belong to one person - Polly.
"Up here," she told the gang, and started upstairs.
"Umm, I'm not very good with heights. I'll...keep watch outside." said Al, looking up at the ceiling nervously.
"Good thinking," said Marco. "Sam, Patrick - we'll stay down here and watch the stage and green room. Who knows who else is still lurking downstairs..."

And so the group split up. Soph confidently began the ascent of the ladder, with Olivia following closely. Tom hesitated, looking pale but determined, before also beginning to climb. Sam went back through the trapdoor, and Marco and Patrick took a wing each. Al, with the thought of the powder still nagging at his mind, wandered outside, ready to look for even the smallest hint of any suspect activity. Luckily for him (because he'd left his binoculars glasses inside) he didn't have to look too hard...

Meanwhile, Liv, Soph and Tom, panting, finally reached the top of Big School, and caught their breath for a minute. At last, with a nod of agreement, they charged through the door, and found themselves on the open rooftop overlooking the playground. They looked around wildly, but James was nowhere to be seen. Huddled in the corner, however, were PJ and Polly. Soph rushed over to them. "Are you alright?" she exclaimed, hugging both of them at once. Neither of them moved. Soph backed away, a little puzzled, unsure what to do. Tom looked into Polly's eyes, and turned to see what she was looking at. He grabbed Liv's arm and pointed...

...Soaring majestically northwards, away from the school, was a silhouette - but not one of them could make out quite why it resembled a penguin.

The Crew made out the sound of a door opening, and the footsteps of PJ and Poll faded. Only a few seconds later, two shrieks rang out, sweeping through the corridor. The crew looked at each other in alarm, and were about to vacate the wardrobe when a bang nearby and hurried footsteps approaching made them reconsider. Seconds after, more footsteps began, and it was clear that these belonged to the two girls, as they were accompanied by sobs and little screams. Waiting for a minute after, the crew heard nothing more, and so decided it was safe to clamber out of the wardrobe.

They fanned out into the corridor - Soph, Tom and Al went to the right and Sam, Marco, Liv and Patrick to the left. Sam pulled open the adjoining wardrobe door. "He's gone," he called to the gang, referring to Guy's mysterious disappearance. While the four of them looked around for him, the other three cautiously opened the door through which PJ and Polly had run only an instant before.
"There's nothing there," said Soph, confused.
Tom, though, was looking at the floor. "Don't you see?" he remarked, and pointed. Soph and Al followed his line of sight, and saw just a heap of fine, white powder.

A shout from the other side of the door made them jump. They returned through the door and joined the other four, who were clustered around Sam, to hear Olivia saying, "Oh well done. If only everything were as important to you as finding the ball."
"Have you found that tenner or something? I really need some coffee after all this.." said Tom.
"No," Patrick replied, "but just look, will you?" Not for the first time, the others looked where he was pointing. Sitting beside a small door none of them had ever noticed before was the rugby ball which they had come down to look for in the first place. Resting lightly on top of it was a large, somehow familiar, flowery hat.

Ali, Sam, Marco, Liv and Soph leapt majestically thought the open trapdoor desperate to retrieve the lost rugby ball and continue to throw it at Paddy's head, while he and Tom scissor jumped through the hole in a frenzied attempt to find the vanished tenner and get their caffeine fix.

But the elusive rugby ball was no-where to be found and the crew frantically searched backstage for the focus of their entertainment while Tom and Paddy dropped to their knees and scoured the floor for the missing money:
'No luck'
'Sorry'
'Nothing'
'Nada'
'So sorry' whimpered Tom who everyone secretly blamed for throwing the ball through the trapdoor in the first place.

But suddenly the crew heard the sound of footsteps and could distinctly make out the animated conversation of Poll and PJ.
'But The O-J is going to be over the moon with this idea, anything to get the crowds flocking to see us at Edinburgh'
'Are you sure that you want to go through with this though girlie, I mean it's all very well in our common room but we'll be on stage in front of hundreds, ok, tens of people'

Knowing perfectly well what happened in the OHS common room at break time thanks to the hidden web cam behind the Matt Busted poster, the guys were eager to hear more...
'In here!' barked Tom pointing to a wardrobe and beginning to clamber in. But he found much more than musty clothes and let out a little yelp of surprise. Intrigued, Sam pulled the door open to reveal the figure of Guy clad in a long black fur coat, sumptuous velvet trousers and flowery hat. Clearly shaken Marco slammed the door shut and bundled the crew into the adjoining wardrobe, who, in the dark, pressed their ears to the door enthusiastically listening to Poll and PJ's conversation as they turned the corner in search of the The OJ. Sorry, O-J.

What will O-J say to the girls' proposal? Will the crew find their rugby ball? Will Guy ever come out of the closet? Find out in our next exciting instalment...

OK, this blog does not currently have a whole lot to say for itself. Therefore Soph and I (being Al) have decided to pay homage to Hal and write a story. And so it begins...

'The day was Thursday. The time was 11.30, and O-J was pissed. Not drunk already - he was leaving that to Tom - but angry. Fewer than half the cast had turned up for the previous rehearsal, and things were behind schedule. As a result, he was just about to take all those skivers down into the Green Room for a tête-à-tête.

'While O-J proceeded with his lecture, the actors playing the seven young people (namely Soph, Tom, Marco, Patrick, Sam, Liv and Ali) were mucking around onstage with a rugby ball, while Guy disappeared backstage, and Hal went outside to interview Ed. All of a sudden, Tom threw the ball particularly hard at Patrick, who had to dive to avoid it. While on the floor he spotted a tenner wedged in the trapdoor. "Hey, guys," he said, "There's a tenner here - I'm just going to grab it and go over to La Croissanterie to buy a coffee." The others ignored him, and Marco retrieved the ball.

'After poking around in the wings, Paddy found something he could use to lever the trapdoor open. He went back centre stage, and up came the trapdoor. "Pssssh!" said Paddy, for no apparent reason. The next thing he said was "OW!", as Tom once again threw the ball at him, this time hitting his head. The ball bounced off, and fell neatly through the open trapdoor. "I don't beliiiiiiiiieve it!" screamed Sam. Tom replied, "This! All this is my fault!" The others laughed at the hilarity of the in-joke before poking their heads through the whole to see about retrieving the ball.'

That's all for now - stay tuned, folks! There is so much more to come...
