Amazing. Even though Tom likes nothing better than to spend a day telling me he is bored out of his brain with nothing to do, he still hasn't managed to post. Tom would call that post-modernist or something. Most would call that retarded.
Well the last day of term came and went. Kind of anticlimactic I thought. And food-filled. Muffins+biscuits+Buck's Fizz+Chinese buffet+ice cream+Double Baileys+Malibu+Champagne+tea can't be a good combination in such a short time.
Town after lunch was fun though. Uni Parks with Tom,Fred,Sam,Lunney+crew, champagne, razors, trees, wrestling and rain most definitely ARE a good combination, to be repeated at every possible opportunity. Or every conceivable occasion, as the immortal Bedford-line goes.
Then...the last week has been a blur involving many a lark trying to set up Broadband, and endless hours playing Age of Mythology (very very cool game). On Monday O-J came round for a day of yearbook-based-goodness, at the end of which we think we've got a template sort of sorted out, but we're still quite severely lacking in content. More photos!! Other than that... it's quite a shock to realise that a whole week's gone by and I've done nothing.
Until yesterday. Lizzie's was the perfect party to break the 'fast' with - thanks so much! Quote of the day - Freddie: "I'd best go and get [my boobs] then". Moment of the day - kicking a football straight into the back of Tom's head :D. That's some serious mansionage going on there: the pool - so cool; and Guy and I had a wee venture into the next-next-door house's garden "in search of the football", but instead walking the other way following the lake/static river. Again, so cool.
Anyway, some of us have sleep to catch up on / new E4 to watch :p. Here's to the next party - soon!

Happy Birthday Kierannnnnnnnn!
All grow'd up now... and making badges.... Hope you have a really cool time at QI - I'm so frustrated I'm not 18!!
So this week I've been kick-starting the yearbook back into action, as Mr Dyar seems to have too many other things on his hands... Sample layouts and posters have been coming out thick and fast, and people are actually taking an interest, so it's all looking good! Possibly that's just because I put up the photo of one of the stranger humanoids that arose from that game of Consequences.
I've also made £15 for sitting down at a keyboard and pressing two keys this week, so I'm a happy bunny. Now who wants to buy £20 of Borders vouchers off me..?
Love ya lodas.

With the arrival of the genius bit of merchandise that is Magnetic Fridge Poetry, I thought I'd give you some sort of insight into the workings of my brothers' (and sister's) minds. Here's a collection of some of the wise, or even less so, sayings now adorning our frigo:
Could one sit still and say through elaborate language why sky is flooded?--
--Take my diamond put it in the garden
I have ship ache in my leg----Blow at her tiny peach--
Let's all egg together----Chain him and their beautiful lies will be crushed - always.
We like to have an enormous fiddle about the place----Would you like some drool spray
--an urge for purple blood raining from the shadowy rose--
In other news, my coolest new possession is a bright yellow frisbee with a really smiley face on it that is elastic! So cool! Admittedly it makes a rather disturbing noise when you ping it...
Speaking of smiley faces, today I've been learning sign language (what else are 'bio lessons' in the computer room for?). I was astounded they didn't have the sign for gay... And what was that one with the walking hand across the chest?..
French orals over now :). Good luck be to any and all of the other persuasion who still have them to come.
All together now - Starry, starry-eyed!

I can't believe I'd never properly heard Polly or Jess play before - my GOD you guys were good! Seriously impressive stuffs. There I met Poll's mum for the.. 3rd? time. Delightful as always. The conv went something like this:
Polly: "Mum, this is Hal, you remember him"
P's mum: "Oh, yes, hi Hal! xxxxxxxxxx"
Polly: "And this is Ali"
P's mum: *silence*
Ali: *silence*
Polly (to mum): "Be. nice."
Then I offered to carry P's cello, and her mum was all "I suppose I should say 'how gentlemanly of you' ". Jeez. I'm still not entirely sure what I'm supposed to have done..
Drinks back at Charlbury road was (slightly) less frigid, though again there was a touch of blatant "Hal will you marry my daughter/son"-ism when asking about which colleges he and I were going to. (I got an "Oh, dear. *2 minutes of constant laughter*", Hal got an "oh, that is LOVELY, I'd LOVE to go there, i LOVE you".)
Other than that, it was fun! I did make an effort, and it went ok..

Other than that, the weekend was uneventful, except for the O.C. with the Spiderman thing...and me having watched Spiderman a few days ago... Ooo, and we're getting broadband!! As James said, "welcome to the 21st century".
Thanks James. Thames.
For final CCF day, Army + RAF went to the cool places that are Pizza Hut and Laser Quest. Both were really cool :) - ate far too much, but LQ is so much more fun than I remembered! As is the bucking horse .. thingy. I can't believe Mabbi stayed on for 65 seconds...

It's been another week, and in the absence of posts from Tom I feel I should say something.
On Tuesday, instead of the CCF going to Laser Quest (cancelled due to lack of organisation *cough * O-J), I had a really cool chat with Guy while we were walking up to Summertown (Summertown!), psyching ourselves up for uni and suchlike. Thanks Guy. Thuy. Hmm.
Among Wednesday's delights was my meeting with the Master, along with Kieran and Freddie, in which he asked us where we were going to uni, which I thought he really should've known. Still, nice tea. Then, after much deliberation, Hitchhiker's Guide at the Phoenix, with Tom, Guy, Freddie, Kieran and Lunney. It was the first time I'd been there, so that was an experience! The film itself was quite good, but I wasn't keen on the whole additional kidnapping bit, and the persistence of the bloody Vogons. Still, the factory floor made it all worth it.
Thursday.. I rehearsed with Alexandra for our piece at the Jazz Concert (Don't Know Why - Norah Jones), then in Jazz Band for the last time. One oh-my-GOD-it-was-boring Emms lesson later I was in the music block listening to Hal's A2 trombone recital, after which he, Peter and I went into town. Apparently Peter was in Tomorrow Never Dies!! He said near the beginning there's a location bit in Oxford (the whole 'cunning linguist' bit I think) and there's a shot of New College Choir, and he's the one that turns round, just having been told not to...
Friday saw us once again out on School Field (doing latin..) enjoying the on-and-off nice weather and looking through 2001's yearbook; I feel so crap that our year is so not rebellious it's embarrassing - all their quotations and memories are so funny! And one guy won both the "Best haircut" and "Worst haircut" awards... Inspired by that we (O-J, Guy and Paddy) spent most of the ensuing Biology lesson discussing ours (yearbook, not hair) :). Then after a thrilling Latin lesson after school (grr) we moseyed to the parks just in time to see a whole load of half-naked L6 (MCS), before going back to the Noodlebar, the place of inspiration apparently: Guy, Tom and I came up with our plans for the next couple of weeks/months, using salt and pepper pots, chopstick wrappers and chopsticks :). I guess realistically the inspiration was more drawn from the unsociability of the girls with their fucking iPod. Ok rant over.
The jazz concert itself was really cool, except for a horribly embarrassing encore, which several of us had begged Wedgie not to do - I don't know if anyone didn't get lost in it. In the Pink were REALLY cool, and I'm now awaiting their arrangement of Under The Sea (arranged by Alexandra, who is apparently also their co-founder!). SO cool. To everyone who wasn't there, you missed out! Thanks be to Guy, Tom and O-J for their support :).
Now I should go get ready for plan no. 1...

Sunday, May 1
Rock, rock on! Not at all tired after last night's festivities.. Tom, Cat, Alex H, Lunney and I went to Proof yesterday - the highlight of which was Sam Bright changing behind a screen in plain view of those in the balcony. Unfortunately much of the 2nd half was missed while we were trying to persuade Cat's parents to let them come back to the cool place that is Tom's, but alas in vain, forsooth. Met Kitty again (we have a weird habit of bumping into each other), and arranged to go to the cinema on Wednesday, so all was not lost!
After walking around trying to find an open/L6-less/bikerless pub for a while, we briefly joined the crowds in G+Ds before heading out again to get a taxi. On arrival at Tom's, we cooked some pizza (and no-one at all managed to leave the polystyrene tray in one of them and thus making it toxic. ahem), drank some Rankness (aka Grappa or something), then started on shots of gin/plum gin, trying to come up with good drinking games. We tried drink lightning-spotting, drink listening-to-music and drink Pump-It-Up before settling on Drink Bongos :). We also went out in the BEST THUNDERSTORM EVER. It was SO cool - the lightning was all around the sky, with very little thunder, and no rain. We followed the sound of a party to Melody's house, which then abruptly stopped. Harsh, I thought.
When everyone was sufficiently squiffy, someone decided it'd be a good idea to start singing. Thus out came the Britney, N*Sync (or whatever spurious punctuation there is) and No Doubt - it was hilarious I tells ya. Tom's parents were apparently awake through the whole thing, leading them to tell us we apparently "don't make convincing Britneys". They then requested an a-cappella Morning Has Broken, leading to the terrified flight of any pets from the room.
May Day itself was cool, waving swords in the air, watching people jumping in the river. Breakfast at the Jericho Cafe followed, before driving back down to see the Morris Dancing/ man dressed as a tree on Broad Street and St. Giles. Then free hot chocolate at G+Ds, playing in St Barnabus park, and finally home. I was dozing off every 10 seconds on the bus, and apparently Cat fell properly asleep, missing her stop.
..Thank God for bank holidays!
